Jack scores on debut

Up against the team with a 100% record, and top of the league - Pepperells - Winteringham put up a great show. Indeed if Winteringham had been able to convert some of the many chances that they created, there could have been a major shock on the cards, but in the event Pepperells were ruthless in front of goal.
On individual players performances it was pleasing to see Jack Cady scoring on his debut for the club, and TWO players were given the man of the match award - Robbie Parker picking up his second consecutive nomination, and Adam Sparrow collecting his first of the current season.
Next week, the First Team play local rivals Winterton Rovers, who had a good start, tailed off before Christmas, but have come back strongly by winning their last three matches against Warren Lodge, Auld South Yorkshire and Broughton Town. If further spice were needed for the game, it’s a six-pointer!
